漢語版《大理上下四千年》集歷史性、文學(xué)性與通俗性于一體．出版后受到廣大讀者的好評。譯者現(xiàn)以統(tǒng)一規(guī)范的語義概念、恰當(dāng)?shù)姆g策喀、正確的文化立場予以全書英譯．并以此糾正目前有關(guān)大理歷史文化的英譯資料或英語著速中因譯者文化誤讀而產(chǎn)生的（譯語文本中）概念混亂、用詞缺乏統(tǒng)一性、史料失真、政治立場偏向等問題，對提升民族歷史文化的對外交流與傳播將會產(chǎn)生極大的推動作用。
作者簡介：
卜紹先，1963年2月出生，籍貫大理鶴慶。1984年7月畢業(yè)于云南大學(xué)外語系英語語言文學(xué)專業(yè)，獲英語語言文學(xué)學(xué)士學(xué)位。1988年9月赴北京大學(xué)英語系訪學(xué)一年；1996年4月獲國家公派資助赴澳大利亞維多利亞拉籌伯大學(xué)（LaTrobeUniversity）訪學(xué)一年；2003年3月獲地方公派資助赴
