The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn are
probably Mark Twain's most famous books, but the language, especially the 19th
century black dialect in Huck Finn, can be challenging. I'd recommend these two
for an intermediate reader.

四.《銀豬》等
For something a little less literary, there are many good, easy to read
popular books in a variety of genres (流派、體裁), including romance novels,
mysteries, detective stories and science fiction. Lindsey Davis is a British
mystery writer whose Falco series is set in ancient Rome; try her first novel,
The Silver Pigs. Nora Roberts and Jude Devereaux are top romance novelists in
the US whose books are fun to read.
要說文學性不那么強的，愛情、玄幻、偵探、科幻等很多不同流派也有很多優(yōu)秀易讀的名作。英國推理小說家林賽·戴維斯的法爾科系列寫的是發(fā)生在古羅馬的故事，我推薦大家讀一讀她的首部小說《銀豬》。來自美國的諾拉·羅伯茨和裘德·德弗羅是著名的愛情小說家，他們的書也很有趣。
五.海明威的《老人與海》《太陽照常升起》
Ernest Hemingway is an author whose writing is simple and straightforward yet
delves into the deeper issues of what makes us human. His books aren't long and
they are easy to read. The Old Man and the Sea and The Sun Also Rises are
classics of American literature.

Harper Lee, the reclusive author of To Kill a Mockingbird, is from Alabama,
like myself.
